Glasses....

This all started at Savanna's Two year check up. We went in for a normal check up and got a referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist. They were concerned that her right eye was slightly turning in, but they did not seem overly concerned. Gary said that he had noticed it a day or two before but thought that he might have missed seen. I set up an appointment that day with Dr Scott, but it was not for 3 weeks.
We continued to watch her eye and it seemed to get worse everyday and very sever at night. Our appointment day came and I went in praying it would be something she could grow out of, but we got different news.
we were told she was severely far-sided, and in most cases she was seeing double, which is why her eye was crossing. Dr Scott explained that it her brain was crossing in order to shut that eye off so she would only see one image instead of two. He told us that over time she would loose vision in that eye and could be come blind in it too. We were then told that glass would stop this from happening. It would not make the vision problem go away but it would stop her eyes from crossing which will prevent vision loss and it would allow her to see properly.
We got her fitted for glasses the same day and we will get them next week. It seems like a long week, we know what we can do to fix it, so continuing to watch that eye continue to cross is hard.
We feel so blessed to have such good health care providers to have helped us catch this in time. We are very thankful that there is something we can do to help her. Here are a few pictures from our day of picking out glasses...

Keepsake Presents

I have seen many of my friends post on Facebook about this pottery painting place called 'Be Wild for Art'. When it came time to think of some memorable gifts this place came to mind. Savanna LOVEs to paint so I thought it would be a hit!
She was very excited about painting!!

Daddy helped her with her hand... Someone had to take the pictures... LOL

Look at how tiny her hand is on that Large platter!

Now we are working on Nana and Poppi's gift!
Nana and Poppi got married on St Patrick's Day, and were are part Irish, so for there anniversary and a memorable keepsake to take home. They loved it... Nana cried!!

Isn't that so cute!!
This was a gift for Mimi's Birthday. Every Sunday we go out to Gary's grandpa's farm for homemade fried chicken and all of the fixings, so what would be better than a chicken platter with all of her grandkids hand prints on it!
Mimi loved it! We will defiantly be going back and doing more!

Swim Class...

This was the first night of this summers Swim Class... We are excited that we are taking swim class with two of our good friends, Bella and Keaton! They had a blast and all she can talk about now is swim class. Even if we pass the YMCA she says "wim class, I wim".
She was very excited to see Keaton!
Showing off!

They were soooo excited!

Savanna had to greet Bella when she arrived!
The Daddy's and the Kiddo's

I will post more pictures as the classes continue!

Our first trip to the Zoo!!

We went to the Zoo last weekend... It was Savanna's first trip! She had a blast, we weren't sure if we were going to be able to get her out of the goat area to see the rest of the Zoo. It was a great day to go the weather was a little chilly but it turned out nice.

Savanna and Daddy meeting the goats for the first time.
She fell in love with them.
These two goats started fighting an she started yelling at them and pointing her finger, it was very funny.
She made each animals noise at them it was very cute!
She has loved the donkey's ever since she got to ride one at Donkey Basketball (don't ask, LOL)!
A good Cero family picture in the children's Zoo!
yes she is trying to feed the goat a rock... just because she eats them doesn't mean the goats will like time! Yes she still sticks rocks in her mouth, but I think she does it only when we are looking because she knows she is not suppose to!

yes she liked the snakes!
The monkeys were one of her favs, she wanted to get in there with them!!

She was done by the end of the day but we all had fun and can't wait to go back!!
